Why hello there

Well this is the first post on this new venture.....

Why am I doing this….well….people ask me for advice (well sometimes they don't and I just give it but hey I mean well!) so I am going to try and put all of that stuff in one place. I am not an expert on anything....I just know a little bit about a lot of stuff & need to put it in one place.

Most of what I will focus on will obviously be most relevant to Marine wives but a lot will cross over to other services and *gasp* maybe even the dark side too aka. civilian life :-)

Everything from where the latest coupons are to what military relevant issues are being discussed on Capitol Hill to interesting websites I find or news articles, benefit information, pretty much anything and everything.

Firstly a little about me – I am a Marine Wife of 4 years now. Husband has been “in” for 10 years this November & is a career Marine. We just had our first child 4.5 month ago which has turned our lives upside down…in a good way…most of the time!

After having our first child I quit working, so we are now living on a single military income. Going from two incomes down to one can be tough especially when you are introducing a child into the mix as well. 

I started looking for ways to make the most of what money we do have, hunting for deals, clipping coupons and looking for ways to save money and make those precious dollars go further. I wanted to share what I find with everyone so that other families can benefit. My goal is to eat lobster on a tuna fish budget...not quite there yet perhaps eating Snapper on a tuna fish budget at the moment :-)

Also I feel it only fair to warn you that if you are looking for pulitzer winning writing...this is not it. Spell check will also be optional some days too.
