Bed & Breakfasts accross the US honor US Military Members this Veterans Day

http://www.bnbsforvets.org/

B&B’s and Inns are providing FREE rooms on Wednesday, November 10, in observance of Veterans Day, November 11, to honor servicemen and women currently serving or who have previously served their country. The program was started in 2009 by the West Virginia B&B Association (formerly called MABB) and this year has expanded to include over 40 states and provinces and more than 300 Inns. Reservations need to be made directly with the participating Inns and B&Bs. "We just wanted to say thank you to the courageous men and women from our armed forces", says Kathleen Panek, owner of the Gillum House in Shinnston, WV. "These are some trying times for anyone serving or who has served and a good night's rest is our way to say, thank you." A valid Military or VA ID will be required for each reservation.
Each B&B is making at least one room available on the night of Wednesday, November 10 (only) to active and retired military personnel. Availability is limited, so Inns may not have a specific room listed for the promotion and once the available rooms are booked, the B&B may not be able to provide another free room.

Take advantage of this program and perhaps "tack" a couple of extra days onto the one night and make a long weekend out of it :-)

Thanks Steph for sending this to me to share :-)

For Breastfeeding Momma's ! (or if you want to buy something for one :-)

One of my biggest "issues" with breastfeeding was the modesty aspect of it. I first tried nursing specific clothing.....not so great.....then just a light blanket draped over my shoulder and the baby....also not so great...especially when she would grab it and pull it down.

Then I found THESE - Uddercovers! Mine is great! It is very wide and very long and the neck is adjustable. The other great thing it that around the neck line it is stiff so I pops out a little so you can see your baby from the top and adjust as needed. Also they are pretty looking and do not look like an over sized ugly sheet that does not breath properly and you feel like you are creating a sauna for your baby !

The other thing that I found was great with these is expressing on the go....plenty of fabric to cover what you need to cover and also enough to adjust the various parts of the pump discretely. The first time I tried it was with a manual pump on the way to SC with husband driving and me in the passenger seat and it worked great. Saved time by not having to stop, just expressed put the milk into a cooler and when she needed feeding it was all ready to go!

THE BEST THING ABOUT IT IS THE COUPON!!!! Type in " BABIES " in the PROMO Code box on the check out page and you will get a $32 credit, basically getting one free (plus s&h is $9.99). There is also gift sets on the page that include nursing pads and a nursing reminder bracelet. They are on sale for $37, so you would get it for $5 (plus S&H of $9.99)
